Phyllis Ann King Yoder
Obituary
Phyllis Ann King Yoder (PAKY), 72 years
old, died Monday (May 30, 2016) after a short illness, just two and a
half months shy of her 50th wedding anniversary. She was born on Nov.
29, 1943, in Bellefontaine, OH, to Glen and Orpha King.
She graduated from Goshen (IN) College
in 1961 with a BSN degree. Upon retirement in 2007, she had been a
labor and delivery nurse for over 32 years at Bethel Deaconess
Hospital/Newton Medical Center.
On August 13, 1966, she married James
E. (Jim) Yoder in Scottdale, PA. She is survived by her husband; her
three children: Jill Yoder, Gary (Kathleen) Yoder and Karla (Tom)
Buller; and by her eight grandchildren: Alexandra, Jesse, Zachary,
Paton, Avrom, Joshua, Elsie and Elyza.
Her parents preceded her in death, as
did her son-in-law Kevin Yoder.
Her greatest joys in life were her
children and her grandchildren.
Visitation with family is scheduled for
Thursday evening, June 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Miller-Ott funeral home
[Hesston, Kansas] with a memorial service Friday evening at 5 p.m. at
Hesston Mennonite Church. Memorial contributions may be made to
Mennonite Central Committee in care of the funeral home.
