Melinda N. Vogel, age 51, Newton Medial Center employee, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at her home.

She was born on July 1, 1962, in Kansas City, Mo. Melinda lived in North Newton for 10 years and attended First Church of God, Newton.

She is survived by a son, Adam (Tiffany) Vogel of Harrisonville, Mo.; two grandchildren, Hailey White and Jacob Hensley; and a brother, John Wheeler of Springfield, Mo.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater. There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow at the McGill Cemetery, Potwin.

A memorial has been established with First Church of God, in care of the funeral home.
