Gerald L. Holub
Obituary
LOST SPRINGS - Gerald L. Holub, 70, passed away Jan. 15,
2014, at Memorial Hospital in Abilene.
He was born on July 10, 1943, in Lost Springs, the son of
Louis and Mary (Tajchman) Holub. He was a graduate of Tampa High School with
the class of 1961. On Nov. 29, 1969, he was united in marriage to Paulette E.
Bezdek. They would make their home in Hesston, where their family would grow to
include one son, Gregory.
Gerald was a machinist at AGCO Corporation for 36 years.
Upon retirement, they would move back to the Lost Springs area, to be nearer to
family.
Gerald was a member of the Holy Family Parish, Holy Redeemer
Church, and the Tampa Council of the Knights of Columbus.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Paulette Holub; a son,
Greg and his wife, Pam, all of Lost Springs; his siblings, Ed Holub and wife,
Judy of Wamego, Kenny Holub of Tampa, Rose Mary Brasil and husband, Mike of Lakewood,
Colo., Kathryn Walker of Coppell, Texas, and Marian Holub and Maureen Holub of
Newton; four grandchildren, Kelsi Fluis of Haven, Zachari Slayden of
Westminster, Colo., and Jerami Slayden and Gentri Holub of Lost Springs; three
great-grandchildren, Madison, Brekyn and Aydin; and mother-in-law, Sylvia
Bezdek of Lost Springs.
All services will be at Holy Family Parish, St. John
Nepomucene Church in Pilsen, with the Rosary being held on Friday evening at 7
p.m., and the Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014.
Inurnment will follow in the Pilsen Cemetery.
