Obituary
Erma J. Koehn, 85, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at Pine
Village in Moundridge.
She was born April 14, 1928, in Carnegie, Okla., to Philip
H. and Mary (Schmidt) Unruh. Erma moved to Kansas from Oklahoma in 1939. She
married Harvey Koehn on Nov. 8, 1947, in Newton, and he Survives.
Erma was a longtime Potwin resident prior to moving to
Moundridge. She loved to spend time outdoors especially growing and tending her
many varieties of flowers. Erma also enjoyed spending time crocheting and
looked forward to keeping up with her brothers, sisters and many nieces and
nephews.
Erma is survived by her husband, Harvey of Moundridge;
brother, Bill Unruh of Howard; sister, Vera Schmidt of Potwin; and many nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruby
Koehn; and brother, Vernon Unruh.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eden
Mennonite Church in Burns, with presiding ministers Roland Koehn and William
Koehn officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Church Cemetery. Visitation will
be 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Pine Village of Moundridge, in
care of Petersen Funeral Home.
