Obituary
Guy L. Wambold, 92, died on Dec. 2, 2013, at Newton Medical
Center in Newton.
Guy was born on April 25, 1921, in Allentown, Pa., to Verna
and Harry (Schantzenbach) Wambold.
Guy married Betty Jane Bitting on Dec. 19, 1943, in Emmaus,
Pa. She died on May 27, 2007.
Guy was an avid baseball fan, amateur photographer and
longtime member of St. John's UCC Church in Emmaus, Pa. He was a retired
security guard for ATT and a former Emmaus police officer.
He is survived by his sons, Alan Wambold of Glen Allen, Va.,
and Robert and Peggy Wambold of Newton; grandsons, Michael and Patrick Wambold;
great-grandchildren, Zachary, Holden, Lily and Layla; and sister, Joy Roth of
Allentown, Pa.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jack; father and
mother; and his wife, Betty Jane Wambold.
A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5,
