Jovita Duarte Reimer
Obituary
Jovita Duarte Reimer, age 54, passed
away May 25, 2016. Jovita was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and married
James Reimer of North Newton in 1990.
She is survived by her husband and
daughter Laura Alejandra, who both live in Pueblo, Colorado, as well
as by her mother-in-law, Rubie Reimer, of North Newton.
Jovita was an avid donor to various
charitable organizations such as Care, Doctors Without Borders,
Habitat For Humanity, Americares, and pet shelters. She was also
intensely interested in Mexican politics and the drug wars in Mexico,
openly criticizing the corruption of political leaders.
Before her death, she expressed her
desire to donate her organs and, upon her death, arrangements were
made to donate as many as possible. Recipients were found for her
heart, lungs, liver and kidneys.
Funeral arrangements were held at
Romero Funeral Home in Pueblo, Colorado, on June 1.
