Obituary
Jane N. "Ninfa" Woodward, 81,
died Sunday (July 3, 2016) at Newton Medical Center. She was born
November 11, 1934, in Gallup, New Mexico, to Juan and Rachael (Duran)
Jaramillo. On November 11, 1984 she married Leslie H. Woodward in Las
Vegas, Nevada, and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2006.
Jane lived in Gallup, New Mexico, and
worked nearly 20 years for the Gallup Housing Authority, prior to
moving to Newton in 2000 to be closer to her family.
She had a love of gardening in the
outdoors. Tending her backyard flowers and plants brought her much
joy. She enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds that spent time in
her gardens.
Jane also enjoyed shopping and
especially yard and garage sales, bringing home many treasures
throughout the years.
The most important part of Jane's life
was that of family. She was a loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, aunt and sister and looked forward to spending
time and catching up with her family members' lives.
Jane is survived by her daughters:
Lynette and her husband Tony Mull of Newton, Toni Walick of
Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Susan East of Needles, California and Rose
Jaramillo of Gallup, New Mexico; brothers John, Robert and Louie
Jaramillo, all of Gallup, New Mexico; four grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her
parents; husband; son, Leonard McCrory II; brother, Rudy Jaramillo;
and sister, Betty Andler.
A gathering and time of visitation and
sharing with the family will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday (July 7,
2016) at Petersen Funeral Home.
A family Mass will be held at 5 p.m.
Wednesday (July 6, 2016) at St. Francis Catholic Church in Gallup,
New Mexico. There will be a private family interment.
