Florene M. Lettau
Florene M. Lettau, 80, died Sunday
(June 27, 2004) at Presbyterian Manor. She was born Nov. 30, 1923, to
Julius and Martha Elizabeth (Wiens) Rutschman in Whitewater. They
preceded her in death. She married Gene Lettau March 25, 1943, in
Newton. He survives of Newton. She worked at Dillon's as a manager of
various departments. She enjoyed yard work, gardening and working
with flowers. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a
member of the Lutheran Altar Committee and was a Sunday school
teacher.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Daryl Lettau and wife Angela of Roy, Utah, and Randy Lettau and wife
Cheryl of Newton; a daughter, Patti Oliver and husband Craig of
Springfield, Mo.; a brother; Marvin Rutschman of Dodge City; four
sisters, Julia Decker of Sun City West, Ariz., Blanche Early of Canon
City, Colo., Lorene Grapengater of Newton and Bernice Unruh of
Newton; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchldren.
She also was preceded in death by; a
brother; Alvin Rutschman; two sisters, Ella Miller and Delores
Schenewerk; and a granddaughter, Alicia Lettau.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p. m.
Today with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p. m.
Funeral service will be 10 a. m.
Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dean Von Stroh
officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with
Alzheimer's Disease Research in care of the funeral home.
