Clarence Dickson
Clarence Dickson, 92, died Thursday
(Sept. 13, 2007) at Presbyterian Manor in Newton. He was born on Aug.
18, 1915, in Woodston to Charles M. and Mary E. (Robideaux) Dickson.
He married Ethmer Hueppelsheuser on Sept. 9, 1937, in Covington,
Okla. She survives. They were married for 70 years. He was a member
of First Church of the Nazarene. He worked as a civil engineer with
the Santa Fa Railroad until he retired. He enjoyed wood working and
gardening. He will be especially remembered for the beautiful roses
he raised.
Survivors include daughters, Jackie
Dickson and Judy Krell, both of Newton; grandsons, Ron and Kathy
Krell of Fort Collins, Colo., Chris and Montse Krell of Newton, and
Brian Krell of Dallas, Texas; a granddaughter, Nancy Krell of
McPherson; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m.
Monday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton with family present
from 6 to 7 p.m.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at
First Church of the Nazarene in Newton with the Rev. Rick Dages
officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton.
Memorials may be made to First Church
of the Nazarene or Presbyterian Manor in care of the funeral home.
