Obituary
WHITEWATER – Robert L. "Bob" Cornelius, 84, passed
away November 3, 2013, at Robert J. Dole V.A. Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born in Whitewater on March 23, 1929, to George and
Alice Cornelius. He was a retired Firefighter with the Newton Fire Department.
He is survived by his sons, Robert (Gina) of Kansas City,
Mo. and Randy (Chauncey Wyant) of Whitewater; his daughters, Sharlene Cook of
Wichita, Karen Patterson (Tony) of Augusta and Carol Altay (Melvin LaCoe) of
Sterling; sisters, Mildred Brown and Wilma Carter both of Brainerd and numerous
grandchildren and their families.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lamb Funeral Home
in Whitewater. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at
Furley United Methodist Church in Furley. Interment in the Whitewater Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for the Newton Fire
Department.
