ELBING – Herbert R.
Wiebe, 84, went to his eternal home, Nov. 10, 2013, at Wheat State Manor in
Whitewater.
He was born March 20, 1929, at Newton, the son of Henry and
Maria (Epp) Wiebe.
He attended Berean Academy. On October 20, 1951, he was
united in marriage to Delilah Rudiger. They moved to the Frederic Remington
Homestead, where they would farm for the next 30 years. Upon retirement they
moved into Elbing, during his retirement years he hauled machinery and parts.
He is survived by his wife, Delilah of Newton; sons: Larry
of Potwin; Randall and wife Raeanne of Peabody; and Keith and wife Dianne of
Peabody; daughters: Renee and husband Stephen Taylor of El Dorado; and Rhonda
and husband Bob Prieb of Hesston; a sister, Frances Wiebe of Whitewater; 10
grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
All services will be held at Emmaus Mennonite Church of
Whitewater with visitation on from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 13, 2013) and
funeral service at 11 a.m., Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2013). A committal service will
precede at 9:30 a.m., at Pleasant View Cemetery, Elbing. Memorial funds: Good
Shepherd Hospice or the Emmaus Mennonite Church Relief Fund in care of Lamb
Funeral Home, 120 S Main, Whitewater, KS, 67154.
