Orlin E. Huxman
Obituary
HESSTON - Orlin E. Huxman, 87, died Nov. 21, 2013, at
Schowalter Villa.
He was born Aug. 18, 1926, at Newton to Rudolph and Esther
(Meyer) Huxman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a mechanic and had owned and
operated Huxman Farm Supply in Moundridge for 19 years. He married Ethel Vogt
on April 14, 1949, at Moundridge.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel, Hesston; sons, Dennis
(Rosalie) Huxman, Moundridge, Arthur (Cindy) Huxman and Gregory (Kelly) Huxman,
all of Hesston; daughters, Karen (Martin) Flaming, Ogallala, Neb., and
Jeannette (Mike) Frey, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Melvin (Wanetta) Huxman,
Moundridge; sister, Emma Ruth Schmidt, McPherson; 12 grandchildren; and 12
great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Garden
Community Church, rural Moundridge. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m.
Tuesday, with family present from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral
Home. Burial will be in the Mound Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for
missions to SEND International, in care of the funeral home.
