Pete F. Schroeder
Pete F. Schroeder, 82, 109 S. Sherman Dr., died Saturday (Aug. 23, 1997) at his home in Newton.
He was born June 11, 1915, in Hillsboro to Henry S. and Sarah Flaming Schroeder. He married Edith C. Sattler on May 12, 1931, in Valley Center. She preceded him in death. He was owner of Pete Schroeder's Used Cars and a car sales mechanic. He was a member of the Newton Bible Church. He served on the Union Rescue Mission Board, Newton Bible Conference Board, chairman of Newton Bible Christian School board and the Wichita Youth for Christ.
Survivors include: five daughters, Delores Mock of Scottsdale, Ariz., Marjorie Michalk of Madera, Calif., Carolyn Shepherd of Bethany, Okla., Donna Heil of Boise, Idaho and Janet Olbricht of Newton; three sons, Bob Schroeder and Richard Schroeder, both of Newton, and Delbert Schroeder of Fort Collins, Colo.; one brother, Arlo Schroeder of Valley Center; two sisters, Martha McCloud of Marion and Hilda Evans of Florida; 33 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Newton Bible Church with the Rev. Ted Veer officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen's Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with the Newton Bible Christian School, in care of the funeral home.
