HALSTEAD—William L. Crawford, 91, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at the Homestead of Halstead Assisted Living Center.
He was born Oct. 6, 1924 at Sedgwick, KS to Homer “Curly” and Louise M. (Hansen) Crawford.
He was a graduate of Bentley High School and was owner and operator of Crawford Sewer Service, Halstead.
On Sept. 8, 1946 he married Pauline M. Zimmerman at Burrton, KS, she preceded him in death November 29, 2007.
Survivors include son: Roger (Kathy) Crawford, Halstead, KS; daughters: Meredith (Al) Robinson, Silt, CO; Barbara (Michael) Byxbe, Freeport, TX; sister: Virginia Melson, Newton, KS; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son; Kent and brothers, Donald and Glen Crawford.
A visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Roger Crawford residence, 714 Spruce, Halstead, KS.
