Gerald L. Collins
Gerald L. Collins, 74, died Thursday
(June 10, 2004) at Kidron Bethel Health Care in North Newton. He was
born Nov. 12, 1929, to Chester Carl and Alice Rose (Montgomery)
Collins in Osborne. They preceded him in death. He married Beulah
Collins Jan. 27, 1952. She survives of the home. He served in
front-line combat during the Korean War. His latest employment was
for Full Vision in Newton. During his working career, he also was a
truck driver, electrician and a police officer for the City of
Beloit. He relaxed by building and flying model airplanes.
Other survivors include: three sons,
Gary Collins and Rodney Collins, both of Newton, and Rick Collins of
Hesston; a daughter; Darla Graves of Hutchinson; a brother; Duane
Collins of Topeka; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside service was Monday at
Restlawn Gardens of Memory. Pastor Scott Thompson officiated.
Memorials have been established with
Kidron-Bethel Healthcare in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
