Carolyn J. Heckendorn, 72, of Newton, passed away Monday (Aug. 22, 2016) at her home.

Mrs. Heckendorn was a member of the First Christian Church. She retired from Hesston Manufacturing after 28 years.

She was a past president of Newton Eagles Auxiliary and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.

She married Dean Heckendorn in May 1982 and is survived by him. She is also survived by son Chris Carroll and wife Tina of Spring, Texas, as well as by grandchildren CJ, Caleb and Anisah.

She was preceded in death by her son John Carroll II, granddaughter Chelsea Carolyn Carroll and her sister Sara Beth Cook.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
