Kermit F. Oursler
PEABODY -- Kermit F. Oursler, 82, water well driller and farmer, died Saturday (Oct. 11, 1997) at Peabody Community Living Center in Peabody.
He was born April 15, 1915, in rural Burns to Charles Oursler and Emma Elsclager Oursler. He married Edna Carolyn Butts on Oct. 19, 1943, in Halstead. She survives of Peabody.
He lived in the Burns area all of his life. He was a member of the Burns United Methodist Church and Charter member of Kansas Water Well Drillers Association.
Other survivors include: three sons, Frank Oursler and David Oursler, both of Peabody and Harley Oursler of Newton; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at the Whitewater Center Church in rural Burns with Pastor Bob Priest officiating. Burial will be in the Whitewater Center Cemetery. Friends may call until 8 p. m. today at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.
Memorials have been established with the Peabody Community Living Center, in care of the funeral home.
