Obituary
Osie Ella Koehn, 91, homemaker, died
Sunday (Sept. 11, 2016) at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge.
She was born Jan. 27, 1925, at Halstead
to Jacob A. R. and Susanna (Eck) Schmidt.
She was a member of Grace Mennonite
Church and was a lifelong Halstead resident prior to her moving to
Moundridge in 2013.
On Apr. 25, 1943, she married Allen
Koehn at Halstead. He preceded her in death Nov. 9, 2013.
Survivors include daughters Jan (Mike)
Unruh, Greensburg, and Brenda Schneider, Walnut Hill, Florida; seven
grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons Myron
and Marshall Koehn; grandson Brett Unruh; brothers Daniel, Nathaniel,
Jonathon, Adam, Abraham, Norman, Melvin and Lewellyn Schmidt; and
sisters Elizabeth Koehn, Lydia Schmidt, Katherine Buller, Adeline
Giesbrecht, Eva Jantz, June Becker, Bernitta Schmidt, Lorene Koehn
and Elma Jean Yost.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday (Sept. 13, 2016) and funeral service will be 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday (Sept. 14, 2016), both at Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead,
with Ministers Raleigh Koehn, Marlin Unruh and Monte Unruh
officiating.
Burial will follow at Halstead
Cemetery, Halstead.
Memorials may be given to Moundridge
Manor in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
