Obituary

Fred M. Wuthrich, 67, passed away Monday (Sept. 12, 2016) at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita. He was born Oct. 21, 1948, in Newton. He was the eldest son born to Roland "Dutch" and Natalie (Nightingale) Wuthrich. He was a graduate of Berean Academy, and then attended Grace University and Wichita State University, receiving a bachelor's degree.

On Aug. 1, 1969, he was united in marriage to Jacky S. Westphal. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Melissa, Fred Michael and Joshua. He was an associate with Scott Rice for nearly 40 years. He was a co-commander of AWANA at Swiss Church and a member of the Wichita State University Alumni Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Charles.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Jacky of Newton; his children: Melissa Grier and husband Brian of Wichita, Mike and his wife Aimee of Lawrence and Josh and his wife Ashley of Elkhorn, Nebraska; his siblings: Tim and wife Brenda of Whitewater, Jerome of Moundridge, Rebecca of Wichita and Rosie of Wichita; and his grandchildren: Abby and Alex Grier, Maya, Josiah, Zoe and Caleb.

Visitation with family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday (Sept. 16, 2016) at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater. The Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 17, 2016) at First Evangelical Free Church, 1825 N Woodlawn, Wichita. A Private Interment will be in the Swiss Cemetery, Whitewater.
