Eldon O. Ewert
Eldon O. Ewert, 69 of Newton died
Thursday (Dec. 26, 1996) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born April 21, 1927, in Dolton,
S.D. To Henry J. Ewert and Lena E. Tiahrt Ewert.
He was a retired dietary employee at
Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton. He moved to Newton in 1980 from
Freeman, S.D. He was a member of the Faith Mennonite Church and
Newton Lion's Club, both in Newton.
Survivors include two brothers, Marvin
Ewert of Newton and Milton Ewert of Modesto, Calif. He was preceded
in death by one sister, Othielia Fransen.
The funeral was at 10 a. m. Monday at
the Faith Mennonite Church in Newton with the Rev. Vicki Penner of
the church and Chaplain Louise McClanahan of Newton Medical Center
officiating. Graveside services and burial will be a 1 p. m.
Wednesday at the Rose Hill Cemetery near Marion, S.D.
