Claudette 'Kay' Oliver
Claudette 'Kay' Oliver, 61, 516 Heather
Lane Apt A, died Monday (Dec. 30, 1996) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 20, 1935, in Newton
to Linda E. Arf Smith and Claude S. Smith. On Sept. 5, 1953, she
married Charles J. Oliver in Newton. They were divorced, and he
survives of Hutchinson.
She was a truck driver for Tri-Fiber
Inc. of Newton and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Newton.
She was born and raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High
School. She resided in Hutchinson and returned to Newton in 1980.
Other survivors include a son, Michael
Oliver of Wichita; two daughters, Cheryl Oliver and Melanie Oliver,
both of Wichita; a sister, Jean Casper of Newton; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and a sister.
The funeral service will be a 1 p. m.
Friday at Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Pool,
Lutheran chaplain of Wichita, officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in
Newton.
Visitation will be until 5 p. m. today,
from 1 to 5 p. m. Wednesday, 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. Thursday and 9 a. m.
to service time Friday.
