Obituary
Daniel Albert Nash, 93, died on Aug. 2, 2013, at the Kansas
Christian Home in Newton.
Daniel was born on Feb. 17, 1920, to Warren and Ellen
"Iris" (Lafayette) Nash in Coats.
Daniel graduated from high school from St. John, and later
served in the Pacific Theatre for the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married M. Elizabeth Dickinson on Oct. 26, 1952, in
Wichita. They were married for 60 years.
Daniel was a retired personal salesman of investments and
life insurance for I.D.S., which is now known as Ameriprise. He enjoyed
fishing, telling stories and was kind and caring to all.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; son, Jon Nash;
daughters, Beth Ellen Jayapalan and spouse, Jay, Dana C. Nash, Marsha Fields
and spouse, Tim, and Terri J. Knight and spouse, Edwin "Chip"; five
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Iris
Nash; four brothers; and two sisters.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug.
7, at First Christian Church of Newton. An additional memorial service is
scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at First Christian Disciples of Christ
Church in Garden City.
