Donna Joan Matz Windsor (1936-2013)
PEABODY - Donna Joan (Matz) Windsor passed away on Aug. 22,
2013, at Newton Medical Center. She was an administrator at Indian Guide in
Peabody.
Donna was born on May 7, 1936, in rural Peabody to William
and Mabel Larsen Matz. She married Warren Windsor on April 1, 1956, at Peabody
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Windsor of Peabody;
son, Randy (Deb) Windsor of Peabody; daughter, Elaine (Kevin) Dhuyvetter of
Manhattan; sister, Adeline Spangler of Pretty Prairie; sister-in-law, Sally
Matz of Peabody; grandchildren, Ryan (Michelle) Windsor of Westminster, Colo.,
Jana Windsor of Peabody, Traci Windsor (Todd Woodruff) of Peabody, Dustin
Dhuyvetter of Wichita, Ethan Dhuyvetter of Manhattan and Katie Dhuyvetter of
Manhattan; and great-grandson, Knox TJ Woodruff of Peabody.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel
Matz; brother, Allen "Bud" Matz; and sister, Dorothy Wentz.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013,
at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody. Inurnment will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26,
2013, at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Memorial service will follow at 11
a.m. at Central Christian Church in Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established these
memorials: the Encouragers Sunday School Class at Central Christian Church and
The Hub (Peabody Teen Center.)
