Obituary

Betty I. Bean, 73, of Hillsboro, died Friday (Oct. 7, 2016) at the Salem Home in Hillsboro.

She was born on April 11, 1943, in Newton, the daughter of Harry and Dolan Glass Geer.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, G.W. Bean, in Hillsboro; children Mark Hiebert of Mustang, Oklahoma, Wendy Johnson of Lyons and Shelly Schale of Hillsboro; two granddaughters, Brittany and Tiffany Schale; and one brother, Steve Geer.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Helen Geer; brother Harry "Butch" Geer, Jr.; and sister Diane Geer.

Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 11, 2016) at the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.

The casket will be open at the funeral home between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 10, 2016).
