Obituary: Verle L. Warner
KS_Newton — Verle L. Warner, 75, passed away June 18,
2013.
He was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Buffalo, Okla. He was a
conservation officer for Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, retiring
after 32 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Shirley Wedel on
Jan. 20, 1961, at Moundridge.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, Walton; son, Gary
(Carla) Warner, Halstead; daughters, Sandra (Daniel) O’Rear, Colorado Springs,
Colo., and Colleen (Tom) Chopp, New Cambria; brother, Gene Warner, Stillwater,
Okla.; sisters, Mary Phillips and Darlene Call, both of Miami, Okla.; seven
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and
granddaughter.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Walton
United Methodist Church, Walton. Burial will be in the Mound Township Cemetery,
Moundridge. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the
Moundridge Funeral Home, Moundridge.

in care of the funeral home.
