Obituary: William Donald Wieberg Sr.
KS_Newton — William Donald Wieberg Sr., 65, of Newton,
died Thursday (June 27, 2013) at his home.
He was born on May 15, 1948, in Bemidji, Minn., the son of
William and Beverly Watson Wieberg. He graduated from Central High School in
Grand Junction, Colo. He served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army.
William married Doris Jean Flowers on July 18, 1983, in
Grand Junction, Colo.
After being discharged in 1987, the family moved to Wichita,
where he worked at the Commissary at McConnell AFB for 11 years. He was later a
truck driver for four years until retiring. They had lived in Newton for the
last three years.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of the home in Newton;
sons, Trent Wieberg of Wichita, William Donald Wieberg Jr. of Victoria, Texas,
and Albert Joseph Wieberg of San Francisco, Calif.; daughters, Marsha Wieberg
and Christine Annette Wieberg of Wichita; brothers, Mike Wieberg of Clifton,
Colo., and Gregory Wieberg of Pueblo, Colo.; sisters, Sandy Watson of Grand
Junction and Carol McCleskey of Valiant, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday (July 3, 2013)
at the Callahan-Edfast Funeral Home in Grand Junction, Colo. The casket will be
open prior to the funeral services. Interment will be in the Veterans Memorial
Center of Western Colorado in Grand Junction.
