Norman Hanson, 91, of Newton, formerly of
Assaria, passed away June 24, 2013.
He was born Aug. 26, 1921, the son of Charles and Ida
(Stenfors) Hanson in Salina. Norman was united in marriage with Lois Mae Heimer on July
28, 1945, in Assaria. Lois passed away Sept. 11, 2012.
Norman leaves behind many loved ones, including his
daughters: Janet Kay Dodson (Duane) of Crete, NE, Joy Ann Robb (Joe) of Newton,
Jennifer Jo Hanson of Lawrence; and granddaughters, Betsy and Caroline Robb of
Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Joshua Gottfrid.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at
Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 28, Assaria
Lutheran Church, with burial following at Assaria Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be designated for Assaria Lutheran Church, in
