Obituary: Kathleen Kay Cloud Boy Red Elk
KS_Newton -- Kathleen Kay Cloud Boy Red Elk (Chung Dis Sa
Pa We Ya) (Black Hoop Woman), 62, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at her Newton
residence.
She was born September 20, 1950, in Poplar, Montana, to
Austin and Alberta (Kennedy) Buckles. On August 9, 2011, she married Ivan N.
Schroeder in Newton, and he survives of the home.
Kathleen is survived by her husband; four daughters, Lynette
Brown, Corinna Castro, Crystal Castro and Majestik Gonzalez; one son, Edmundo
Cloud Boy; two stepchildren, David Schroeder and Suzanne Jueles; one brother,
Herman Red Elk; one sister, Valarie Schurz; and one mentor, Vivian Lindal.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; two sons,
Joseph Cloud Boy and Leslie Brown; and godparents, Joe and Eva Cloud Boy.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013,
at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and shared with
the family.
