Anna K. Smith
Anna K. Smith, 93, of Presbyterian Manor, formerly of 118 E. 10th, died Saturday (Sept. 30, 1995).
She was born June 11, 1902, in Newton to John Kluge and Augusta Freeze Kluge. She married Frank P Smith on Nov. 22, 1922, in Wichita. He died in May 1967.
A lifelong Newton resident, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Frank J. of Newton and Charles of Canyon Lake, Texas; two daughters, Elizabeth Partridge and Edna Prouty, both of Newton; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Edward during WW II; two brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Schuckman of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call until 9 p. m. today at Petersen's Funeral Home.
