BILLIE B. NORTHERN, 71, died June 11, 1997, at his home in Fountain. He was a construction form setter.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Dove-Witt
Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87 in Fountain. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Fountain.
Mr. Northern was born May 17, 1926, in Newton, Kan., to William and Georgia Bell (Wycoff) Northern. His mother lives in Great Bend, Kan.
He was married May 17, 1952, in Oklahoma City to Emma (Stults) Northern, who lives in Fountain.
He also is survived by two sons, Rob of Divide and Daniel of Fountain; a daughter, Teresa Tryon of Security; a brother, Jack of Pacific Grove, Calif.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Billie B. Jr.
Mr. Northern served in the Marines, attaining the rank of private first class. He earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He loved his family and his friends.
He had lived in the area since 1959.
