Melvin P. Strausz

Melvin P. Strausz, 90, died March 24, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. 
He was born April 10, 1922, in Harvey County to Peter J. and Anna Flickner Strausz. He was a farmer. He married Viola E. Koby on Aug. 17, 1947, in Sedgwick. 
Survivors include his wife, Viola, Moundridge, and numerous nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by a son, Stacy; his parents; and siblings. 
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Moundridge United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday from 3 until 8 p.m., with family present from 6 until 8 p.m., at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mound Township Cemetery. 
Memorial donations are suggested to the church or the Moundridge Historical Association, in care of the funeral home.
