Obituary: Esther Ott
KS_Newton -- Esther Ott, 87, died Monday (Feb. 11, 2013)
at her home in Newton.
She was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Moundridge to Peter T. and
Ida “J.C.” Gehring Stucky.
On Dec. 19, 1948, Esther married Wayne Ott in Burns.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne of the home; two sons,
one daughter, and spouses: Tom and Sherry Ott of Kansas City, Mo., Dean and
Vicky Tatum of Newton, Larry and Renee Ott of Newton; six grandsons, Toby Tatum
and wife Jennifer, Kelly Tatum, Clint Ott, Brent Ott, Seth Ott and Ethan Ott;
one granddaughter, Samantha Woodward; two great-grandsons, Robert Thomas
Yturbide-Ott and Parker James Tatum; four brothers, Silas, John, Joe and Dan
Stucky.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; and four
brothers: Sam, Jonas, Dave and Paul Stucky.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday (Feb. 15,
2013) at the Newton Bible Church.
Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday at
First Mennonite Church Cemetery in Burns.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m.
Thursday, where the family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m.
A memorial has been established with the Newton Bible
Church; contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E.
Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
