Obituary: Donna Gail Robb 

Donna Gail Robb, age 69, of Peabody, formerly of Manhattan, died Thursday morning, January 3, 2013, at the Peabody Care Center. She was born on April 30, 1943, and was the daughter of Robert W. and Lillian M. (Fernley) Sloan. Donna lived in Manhattan where she attended local schools, graduating from Manhattan High. She then attended one year at Pittsburg State. She was united in marriage in 1962 to Gary Robb, and they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks to make their home. They later divorced. Donna then returned to Manhattan prior to moving to Newton. She lived in Newton for some 20 years where she was employed at a local Budget Shop. She then moved to Peabody, where she has resided at the Peabody Care Center for a number of years. Donna enjoyed crafts, spending time with friends and especially loved the Christmas season. While living at the Peabody Care Center she was named “Resident of the Month.”She is survived by two sons: Brent and Eric Robb; by her brother: Wayne Sloan and his wife Cindy of Manhattan; and by four nephews and one niece. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; by one brother: Jim Sloan; and by one nephew: Ryan Sloan.Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ben Duerfeldt officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan. On-line condolences may be left for the family through the funeral home website located at www.ymlfuneralhome.com. A memorial has been established for the Peabody Care Center. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
