Obituary: Forrest E. "Corky" Spencer

KS_Newton  --  Forrest E. "Corky" Spencer, 82, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Kidron Bethel Healthcare Center, North Newton.

He was born Aug. 9, 1930, at Aness to Laurence and Alice (Bigger) Spencer.

He was a concrete worker for A-1 Concrete and also worked in the oilfields.

On Aug. 3, 1953, he married Eva Lee Cash at Newton. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter: Debra Spencer, Newton; brothers: Harold Spencer, Ellsworth, Lawrence "Tony" Spencer, Newton, Wayne Spencer, Valley Center; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Green Valley Cemetery, Furley, with Chaplain Debbie Schmidt officiating.

Arrangements are by Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
