Obituary: Curtis Dean “Sonny” Huffman 82, Moundridge
KS_Newton -- MOUNDRIDGE — Curtis Dean “Sonny” Huffman, 82,
died Jan. 29, 2013, at the Mercy Hospital.
He was born March 22, 1930, at Newton to Zenas F. and Emma
Buehler Huffman. He was co-owner of Buehler Produce, Moundridge.
He married Norma D. Westerman Sept. 18, 1949, at Moundridge.
She died Feb. 26, 2012.
He is survived by their children, Teresa (Kenneth) Neufeld,
Moundridge, Jennifer (Kendall) Shaw, McPherson, Deane Ann Kaufman, McPherson,
and Annette (Steve) Daniels, Pine Valley, Calif.; sisters, Imogene Cave,
Wichita, Peggy L. Pezley, Ft. Madison, Iowa, and Patricia (Ken) Stucky,
Moundridge; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Moundridge
United Methodist Church. Cremation will follow. Friends may call Saturday from
4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral
Home.
Memorial donations are suggested to the church or the
Moundridge Historical Association, in care of the funeral home.
