Sharon Lea Spangler, age 66, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
Sharon was a retired City of Douglass Deputy Clerk, and Douglass Police Department Dispatcher.
She is survived by a daughter, Twila Calvert (Richard), Douglass; daughter-in-law, Dora Etter, Douglass; mother, Opal Lambert, Peabody; brothers, Harry, Larry and Gary Winter; sisters, Koni Yoder and Melody Grosse; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and son, Doug Etter.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 1, at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, 507 S. Maple, Douglass. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 2, 2008, at the First Christian Church, 303 E. 4th, Douglass, Kansas. Graveside service at 1:30 pm Friday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, KS. Memorials to Medicalodge of Douglass, 619 Highway 77, Douglass, KS 67039. Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
