William Dean "Bill" Berger, 77, a resident of Charleston, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2016).
He was born on Feb. 28, 1939, in Sedgwick, to the late Cora Mae Williams Berger and Reinold Robert Berger. Bill's greatest attribute was his immense love for his family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Arlene Coleman Berger; and his children: Christine Berger Emslie (Rick) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Janene Berger Carder (Fred) of Cleveland, Tennessee, Steve Berger (Tammy) of Mount Olive, Alabama, and Lynette Berger of Cleveland, Tennessee. He also leaves six grandsons as well as five siblings: Bonnie Berger Emerson of Mayetta, Ervin Berger of Peabody, Allen Berger of Haysville, Wilma Berger Johnson Bashore and Marjorie Berger. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Bradley Carder of Cleveland, Tennessee; as well as three brothers, Nelson Berger, Wilber Berger, Don Berger; and one sister, Etta Mae Berger Welty.
A private family service will be held at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Berger family with these arrangements.
