Funeral services for
Mrs. H. C. Hensley, formerly of Emporia who died in Newton Thursday were held
Monday morning at the Duff
undertaking parlors
in Newton. Rev, O. M. Showalter, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Emporia,
conducted the services.
Mrs. Hensley was
born in Virginia in 1868 and was married in 1888 to Henry C. Hensley who
survives her. She is also survived by five
sons, Clarence
Hensley, William Hensley, Henry Hensley Jr., Clayton Hensley and Lewis Hensley.
and two daughters, Mrs. Bertha
Jett and Miss
Florence Hensley. She is survived also by two grandchildren and the following
brothers and sisters, R. E. Barber of Los
Angeles, Calif.,
Mrs. Nora Nevitt of Saffordville; Mrs. Susie E. Grant, of Emporia, John W.
Barber of Sedalia, Mo., and James R.
Barber of Kansas
City, Mo.
Interment was made
in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. The Emporia Gazette, Emporia, Kansas. July 14, 1925.
