Emporia relatives
have received news of the death of the Rev. George Wilber Nelson of Newton, the
retired executive secretary of the
United Presbyterian
Foundation of Kansas, and all Presbyterian Manors. He died Friday (August 9, 1974) in the
Halstead Hospital.
Rev. Nelson was the uncle of Mrs.
Charles Hopper, 728 West Twelfth Ave., Mrs. Lawrence Bailey, 1530 Sherwood Way,
and Wayne P. Smith, Rt. 2, Mrs. Homer Smith, 1018
Commercial St., is a sister-in-law of Mr. Nelson.
Funeral services
will be held Monday, August 12 at 2 p.m. in the First United Presbyterian Church in
Newton. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
