Donald 'Jack' Angood
Donald 'Jack' Angood, 65, 305 Sherman Drive, rotating pharmacist for the federal government, died Sunday (April 28, 1996) at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
He was born Jan. 9, 1931, in Newton to Gerald J Angood and Josephine M. McDonald Angood. He married Betty Basinger on Dec. 5, 1987, in St. Louis, Mo. She survives.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No 142 AF & AM, Median Shrine, Salem United Methodist Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Elks, all of Newton, and Moose Lodge in Wichita.
Other survivors include one sister, Patricia Jo Angood of Newton; one step-son, Brian Eads of St. Louis, Mo; two step-daughters, Karen Eads of Cahokia, Ill., and Sherry Vahey of Troy, Ill.; one half-brother, Gerald Angood of Pratt; one half-sister, Anne Braiden of Pratt; 16 step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 1 p. m. Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Newton with the Rev. Larry D. Morgan of the church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p. m. Tuesday and 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. Wednesday at Petersen's Funeral Home.
