Obituary
Robert 'Sonny' Ulbrich, 91, went home
to be with the Lord on Thursday (Oct. 20, 2016) in Newton.
Born at home in rural Furley he was a
lifelong farmer and cattleman of Furley and then Valley Center. Sonny
was born on April 11, 1925, to Robert Arthur and Hattie Maude
Ulbrich. He was the ninth of ten children. Sonny married Helen Eilert
on August 25, 1951, in Wichita. He was preceded in death by his wife
Helen, his parents, and all nine of his siblings, five brothers and
four sisters.
Sonny is survived by his three
children, Shirlene Ulbrich of Valley Center, Doug (Teresa) Ulbrich of
Pomona, and Rob (Val) Ulbrich of Valley Center; grandchildren Tenessa
(Peyton) Gambrell and Kaylee and Jackson, Lisa (Jake) Maxwell and
Dylan and Vivian, Ashley (Philip) Zevenbergen, Ben (Brooke) Ulbrich
and Anika, and Isaac Ulbrich; in-laws, Dale Rich (Barbara) and Wanda
Eilert-Poppe (LaVern); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
Sunday (Oct. 23, 2016) and Services at 10:30 a.m., Monday (Oct. 24,
2016), both at the Valley Center Christian Church in Valley Center.
Interment will follow at Green Valley Cemetery in Furley. Memorials
may be designated to Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth,
Valley Center, Kansas 67147. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center is
