Barbara Langston
Barbara J. (Bobbie) Hileman Langston
passed away Oct. 20, 2016, at Newton Medical Center.
She was born February 22, 1938, in Clay
Center, to Nora and Dewey Hileman. She was a graduate of Clay Center
Community High School. The family later moved to Newton. Once the
girls were grown, Larry and Bobbie moved to Kansas City, Missouri,
then Salt Lake City, Utah, then Golden, Colorado. At retirement, they
came back to Newton to be closer to family. She worked in Newton at
Montgomery Ward and K-Mart. Once they left Newton she worked at
various banks. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother. She will be missed greatly.
She is survived by four daughters
Crystal Kohart of Salina, Rhonda Osburn (Scott) of Newton, Lara
Schill (Fred) of Newton, Lisa Cerveny (Wesley) of Nebraska , 10
grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by
sisters Shirley Hileman of Concordia and Veda Brannan of Kansas City,
Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
husband Larry Edward Langston; sisters Dorothy, Vi, Betty, Marcene,
Glaida; brothers Skeet, Ken, Joe and Jack Hileman. As well as by
son-in-law Francis Kohart.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m.
Thursday (Oct. 27, 2016) at Asbury Park Chapel 200 SW 14th, Newton,
Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday (Oct. 28, 2016) at Greenwood Cemetery
in Clay Center.
