John E. Frazer,
pioneer of the Halstead community who died this week was laid at rest yesterday
at Halstead. Rev. Dan Pickett of Kansas City, a Quaker minister, conducted the
simple funeral.
A daughter, Mrs.
Maude McDaniels of Hutchinson and three sons, Herman of Redlands. Cal., John of
San Diego, Cal. and James of Halstead, survive.
Mr. Frazer was a
resident of Harvey county since the early 1880’s. He served two terms in the
Kansas legislature also was county superintendent of schools and for many years
served as chairman of the Republican county committee. (c) HCGS. The Hutchinson News,
