Eugene William Maschoff, 64, died Monday, May 28, 1984, at
Bethel Deaconess Hospital, after a short illness.
Born Nov. 15. 1919, at Tampa,
he married Esther Johnson Sept 14, 1947, at Newton. He was the retired
assistant postmaster of Newton, and had lived in Newton since 1921. He was a
member of the Zion Lutheran church. Newton, and the National Association of
Retired Federal Employees.
Survivors: wife, of
the home; daughters, Marsha Wood, Cheltenham, Pennl; Barbara O’Bryan, Newport
Beach, Calif.; sisters, Mickey Cook, Hutchinson; LaVella Albaugh, Ann Arbor,
Mich.; Hermione Lana, Denver; five grandchildren.
Funeral will be at
10:00 a.m. Thursday,May 31 at the Zion Lutheran Church; the Revs. David Johns and Otto
Truog. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton. Friends may call at Petersen
Funeral Home, Newton. Memorials to the Church or the American Heart
