Obituary: Jackie Ann King Arnold
KS_Newton -- DESTIN, Fla. —
Jackie Ann King Arnold, 69, died Oct. 31, 2012, at Ft. Walton Beach Medical
Center after a prolonged illness. She was born in Wichita on Nov. 6, 1942, the
daughter of John and Margaret (Peg) King. Jackie grew up in Newton, graduating
from high school in 1960. She attended Wichita State University. Jackie moved
to Destin in the 1980s and was the owner and captain of a fishing boat, the
Pescador III. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Susan
LaForge. She is survived by a nephew, D’Arcy LaForge of California and several
cousins. Jackie was a hard worker, loved to be on the water, and had many
friends. She will be missed. A memorial service was held on the wharf in
Destin.
