Dr. Lloyd Dan Montgomery
CHARLESTON, IL – Dr. Lloyd Dan Montgomery, 69 of Charleston,
and formerly of Kansas, died on Nov. 7, 2012, at his home.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10,
2012, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2206 Fourth St. in Charleston, IL.
Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Lincolnland Hospice or to
the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation. Gifts may be mailed to Adams Funeral

Dan was born on March 9, 1943, in Kittanning, PA. Dan was on
staff at Halstead Hospital in Kansas, where he practiced psychiatry for 25
years and was on the faculty at the University of Kansas. He then moved to
Garden City to assume the position of medical director of Area Mental Health, a
position he held for five years before relocating to Charleston in 2005.
In addition to his wife, Carrie of Charleston, Dan is
survived by two daughters, Cathy Sparks of Chesterton, IN, and Elizabeth
Montgomery of Pound Ridge, NY; three grandchildren; and one sister.
