Juanita A. George, 93, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away Monday (Oct. 7, 2016). She was born in Newton Aug. 24, 1923, to Myrtle and Milo Carter.

Juanita was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, James (Woody) George; sister Nadine Lord; and daughter Karen Dawe.

She is survived by her sisters, Belva Taylor and Mardell Hushbeck; and by her daughters, Rosemary Jelinek and Jimalene Rogers. She had eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

At 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov 19, 2016), Juanita will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Visitors are welcome.

Juanita was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary, so in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the American Legion Auxiliary Post #2, Newton or Hospice of the Valley , 1510 East Flower St., Phoenix, Arizona 85014.
