August Regier 

KS_Newton --  August Regier, 95, died on October 9, 2012 at Pleasant View Home, Inman. He was born December 1, 1916 at Newton the son of John R. and Elizabeth Matthies Regier. He was a member of the Burrton Mennonite Church and an Army Air Force Ex-POW of WWII. He had worked for the City of Buhler. On August 18, 1946 he married Delite Ratzlaff at Burrton. She survives. Other survivors are 1 son, Daryl Regier and wife Nita of Moundridge, 3 grandchildren, Jason and Tori Regier of Buhler, Carrie and Roy Runnion of Dumas, Texas, Leah and Cassidy Mawhirter of St. John, and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 brother Roland and 2 sisters Katherine Waltner and Ella Regier. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Buhler Mortuary, Buhler. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday at Burrton Mennonite Church with Pastor Jim Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Buhler Municipal Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the United States Air Force. Memorial may be sent to Pleasant View Home in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 N.
