Obituary: Virginia M. Clintsman
KS_Newton -- Virginia M. Clintsman, 86, died on Oct. 22,
2012, at the Newton Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 9, 1926, in Feltmills,
N.Y., the daughter of Delia (Santamore) and John Cuppernell. Virginia lived in
Placentia, Calif., the majority of her lifetime and moved to Newton within the
last year to live with her daughter, Susan. She was a courageous, strong lady,
raising her children with strong Christian values and encouraged them to try
new things in life. Virginia also loved her jewelry and made many enjoyable
memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by many
and will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death were her parents and a son,
Michael Clintsman. Survivors include two sons, Matthew (Linda) Clintsman of
Grenada, N.Y., and Mark (Sana) Clintsman of Placentia, Calif.; four daughters,
Sheila (Bill) Cuppernell of Mission Vajio, Calif., Sharon Frechette (Ray) of
Placentia, Calif., Susan Terrozas (Larry) of Newton, and Shirley Sawyer of Garden
Cove, Calif.; two sisters, Joan Frechette (Ray) of Rochester, N.Y., and Katie
Wilson of Portland, Ore.; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday (Oct.
27, 2012) at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home of Newton. Chapel service will be
at 11 a.m., following the visitation. On Friday (Nov. 2, 2012), there will be a
visitation and a graveside service in Fullerton, Calif., at the McAulay and
Wallace Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Loma Vista Memorial Park in
