Patience "Pat" Hagan of Newton, Kan., formerly of Boulder, died of natural causes on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001. She was 91.
She was born July 14, 1910, in Preston, Kan., to George Williams and Tamar R. Gridal Williams. She married Theodore "Carl" Hagan on Feb. 26, 1935, in Cleo Springs, Okla. He died on Jan. 14, 2000.
She graduated from Preston High School in 1928. She attended the University of Kansas for three years and then taught grade school in Preston, Kan.
Mrs. Hagan and her husband owned and operated Hagan's Camera Shop in Newton during the 1940s and'50s. They then moved to Boulder where they owned and operated carpet shops and had a lapidary business from 1959 through the 1990s.
She was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church of Wichita, Kan., and the Eastern Star in Preston, Kan.
Mrs. Hagan is survived by a son, Robert Hagan of Goddard, Kan.; a daughter, Marceil Hagan of Denver; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
